Purchase challenges as the driving force
Vestas Towers is looking for a Purchasing Associate/Technical Purchaser to China, Beijing or Shanghai, who will be responsible for placing and monitoring purchase orders. You will build strong working relationships with both internal and external parties, work collaboratively with Global Strategic Sourcing, the Regional Sourcing Managers, and SBU¡¯s on procurement of goods and services for production of Towers and related products.
In your daily work you will:
- Place purchase orders for goods and services.
- Maintain the purchasing data and reporting
- Assist in negotiating with suppliers
- Develop, evaluate and manage internal and external relationships with suppliers
- Participate in cross-functional and or multi-functional teams
- Manage and develop lists of recommended sources of supply
- In coordination with Global Strategic Sourcing develop and manage effective relationships with suppliers, utilizing such techniques as supplier partnerships, strategic alliances, etc.
- Provide regional forecasted spending, savings expectations, and performance objectives together with Regional Purchase Managers
- Help prepare, update and enforce corporate policies related to the purchasing processes
- NCR recording and follow-up
- Report on Market Intelligence
Excellent team-player with flair for purchase
You know almost all purchase aspects and you have:
- At least 3 years of experience in a purchasing role
- Knowledge about product and supplier development
- Experience in steel industry
- The ability to build strong relations
- Good communication skills (English and Chinese)
- Cultural awareness
- Willingness to travel
