BOULDER - Entegrity Wind Systems, a Canada-based manufacturer and distributor of energy-producing wind turbines, has opened a sales office in Boulder.
The company signed a three-year lease for 1,394 square feet at 4855 Riverbend Road. Paige Coker Heiman with Acquire helped broker the deal.
Entegrity Managing Director John Brown said the company chose Boulder because of its "access to markets." The local talent pool for employees also was a selling point. Entegrity hired several people, including Brown, from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden.
"There are a lot of renewable businesses in town, it's a good central location for this business," Brown said.
Entegrity's main product is the EW15 wind turbine - a 50-kilowatt wind turbine generator that supplies electric power for large buildings, industries, commercial operations, large farms, communities, schools and remote locations, according to the company Web site, www.entegritywind.com.
Brown said the product can produce "40 percent of annual energy needs for typical rural high schools."
