VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 23, 2007) - NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. (TSX VENTURE:NKW) ("NaiKun" or "the company") is pleased to announce Jesper Kjaer Hansen as the project's technical consultant on wind turbine generators.
Mr. Hansen recently finished work with the Danish Technological Institute on national and international issues within the Danish wind industry. He has also served as Manager of Research and Design at Nordtank Energy Group in Denmark and later as Vice-President Research and Development for NEG-Micon A/S, now Vestas Wind Systems A/S.
"Mr. Hansen's technical experience within the wind industry and his knowledge of wind turbine generators in particular are a great complement to the NaiKun team. Jesper's expertise will be key to the analysis and evaluation of possible wind turbines for this project," said Peter Hunter, Vice-President of Construction and Design for NaiKun Wind Development.
Jesper Kjaer Hansen has joined a growing team of experts and consultants working on the offshore wind farm. Phase one (320 MW) of the NaiKun Wind Development project is expected to require between 67 to 110 wind turbines. The offshore wind farm is being developed in five phases and will generate 1,750 MW of wind power when fully operational.
